Important: This article is a continuation that explains how the Causality Formula works. If you have not read the previous articles please read page 1 first. It will help you understand how this formula can solve personal, national and global problems.
The initial instructions that are genetically encoded into all of our brains are in part, the root cause of our problems. Don’t get me wrong. This code works very well in a primitive natural environment. It ensures that in such an environment we survive, adapt and thrive. Unfortunately much of that code is actually very destructive in a modern civilization environment.
Through cause and effect, as shown in the Causality Formula we can see how an instinct perfectly suited for the natural world actually contaminates the decision making process and behavior of people in the civilized world. What was once a helpful instinct now corrupts many behavioral processes (neural, emotions, fears, beliefs, addictions, relationships, values, and other factors), in turn, forging the design of not only the neural network in each of our brains, but also our Systems of Civilization which are a result of our collective brains.
Instincts contaminate the behavioral processes and in turn each one of these corrupts other aspects of the behavioral process. For example, the instinct ’social ranking’ might become an addiction. The addiction triggers one specific fear ‘fear of failure’ or maybe ‘fear of loss’. That fear of failure or loss, or both, then corrupts the other behavioral processes, for example, the Neural System’s acknowledgement, focus, perception…
Sometimes instincts don’t initially cause the problem but other behavioral processes do. Sometimes the higher brain functions correctly supersede a destructive instinct, when present. But there are many steps from our limited sensory input to our final decisions and actions. Any one mistake in the process can result in a destructive outcome. I still find myself making mistakes more often than I like. I’ll just continue laughing at myself and learning from my own stupid mistakes.
I am still struggling with my inner monkey, BAD MONKEY, Bad…J I do not recommend self induced electroshock treatments. When you come around you don’t want to find yourself saying, “I think I just did something involuntary.”
The Systems of Civilization like government, economy, education, health-care, infrastructure, etc. comprise most of our Total Living Environment. The Systems of Nature comprise the rest. The Systems of Civilization were created by the very people who suffer from Conflicting Impulses. Sometimes we are driven by instincts, sometimes by values contaminated by instincts, and sometimes by Cortex Values, (values not contaminated by instincts or other Destructive Behavioral processes), hence the division of the people, hence the division within ourselves, our Conflicting Impulses.
This of course is the simple incomplete answer but you see where it leads. Problems are destructive chain reactions that in most cases stem from our primal animal side.
We are driven by, and in many ways contaminated by our more primal behaviors. This in turn corrupts our higher brain functions thus ultimately leading to bad decisions about how to create and maintain our Systems of Civilization. The corrupted Systems of Civilization then reward destructive primal behaviors instead of any more constructive values or better yet Cortex Values.
