Section 1.01 Instincts Are Reactions Not Thoughtful Actions
(a) Human instincts are reactions a person has to their environment.
(b) Animals react to their environment. Intellectually enlightened creatures act after careful observation and examination of the environment and situation.
Section 1.02 When To Use Instincts
(a) There are times when instincts are helpful if not necessary. But within an advanced civilization the overall rule (with exceptions) is to not use instincts unless there is an immediate threat and no time to evaluate using the cortex.
(b) In normal day to day life Destructive Instincts should never be used.
Section 1.03 Instincts Are Basic Code
(a) Instincts are the basic code, the read only memory, for the brains software.
(b) Instincts are passed down via genetic memory. Humans are born with it.
(c) Instincts in most cases influence every thought one has and every action or inaction one takes. Only intellectually enlightened people can recognize the influence of instincts on the thought process consistently prior to taking action or inaction. This occurs when the person is trained to override their instincts with their higher brain functions, their cortex, in order to evaluate their true motivation.
Section 1.04 Instincts Are Motivations
(a) Instincts can often motivate one to take action soon or immediately. The more intellectually enlightened one is the less likely they are to act solely upon their instincts except in life threatening situations. The enlightened will consider instincts as a motivator but will act upon a more balanced rational thought, Cortex Values from the higher brain functions.
(b) Instincts can motivate people to take actions or not to act.
(c) Instincts can motivate people to gain more resources, and more power even if it means causing harm to others, causing new problems for others.
Section 1.05 First Responder Of The Brain Determines Instinct Usage
(a) When processing the stimuli the first step in mental processing is an assessment of possible threat or benefit in the area of the brain that processes instincts.
Section 1.06 Immediate Response
(a) If the problem requires immediate action then the person will then react physically. Or if the person is prone to act before thinking they will react to the problem in a physical manner even though immediate physical reaction is not absolutely necessary, for example they are not in immediate danger. They might feel fear and jump, faint, etc.
Section 1.07 Knowledge Suppresses Instinctive Action
(a) The less education or knowledge one has the more likely they are to use their instincts opposed to their cortex. Knowledge and education greatly increases the likelihood that one will use their cortex to make decisions opposed to their instincts.
(b) The more evolved or enlightened a person is the less negative affect instincts have on the individual. This translates into the person having less negative effects on the systems of civilization and their fellow humans, and everything else in the world.
(c) Knowledge and education are vital to reducing Destructive Instincts. Thinkers are actors, non-thinkers are reactors. The best education is not determined by the fame of the university or how much it costs to gain access. The best education for stripping away Destructive Instincts and replacing them with Cortex Behaviors is what you are getting right here and right now. Oxford, Harvard, MIT, Yale, none of these so called extraordinary schools teach intellectual enlightenment at the time this was written. They teach people how to thrive in a primal and destructive civilization. And that is understandable. When survival and thriving depends on certain information then it can be considered by some to be necessary.
Section 1.08 Gut Feelings Are Not Instincts
(a) Gut feelings are not instincts by definition. They are mostly a subconscious reaction. Subconscious reactions will obviously be effected by instincts to varying degrees.
(b) Gut feelings or what is normally referred to as instinct should not be confused with true instincts.
Put this information in the context of creating a far more advanced civilization.
Now apply these rules to your life. You will find that instead of reacting like a dingy on a wave of causality you are acting, you are taking charge of your own destiny. To put it simply understanding this means the difference between having power, and being controlled by others with power.
And this is just the beginning. There is much more to come. So get these rules straight in your head.
